What is a GI Kashmir Pashmina Shawl?
The GI Tag is a non-removable sticker placed on a Pure Pashmina Cashmere shawl that has been authenticated by the Ministry of Textiles to be:
1.) 100% Handmade: The fabric is handwoven from yarn that is hand spun.
2.) 100% Pashmina Cashmere: The fabric's fiber composition is 100% Pashmina Cashmere.
3.) The Pashmina Cashmere shawl has been handmade in Kashmir, the birthplace of the Cashmere fabric.
The GI Tagged Pashmina Cashmere shawl or scarf has a unique serial number printed on it that can be cross checked with the government website to authenticate the originality of the piece.
It certifies the Pashmina shawl as original and being 100% handmade all the way from fiber to fabric.
Prices for GI Kashmir Pashmina shawls:
1.) Rs 12,790/- onwards for shawls / wraps, i.e. size 40"x80"
2.) Rs 7,550/- onwards for stoles / scarfs, i.e. size 28"x80"

These Pashmina mufflers are manufactured using the highest standards of traditional craftsmanship. Entirely handmade, the yarn is hand spun on a traditional Pashmina spinning wheel known as the yender and is then woven on a traditional Kashmir Pashmina handloom.
Each piece carries a non-removable GI seal with a unique serial number that can be verified from the official government website of the Pashmina Testing and Quality Control Center. In other words, each piece has been tested and qualifies as a traditional Cashmere muffler crafted using the highest grade of Changthangi Pashmina fiber and processed from Cashmere fiber to fabric entirely by hand.
Design Customisation:
Buyers may pick from stock or give any design to be crafted. Any design or size customisation is possible.
